This is my A2 Media Studies blog which will act as portfolio for all my coursework. Here I will present theory and practical work as well as all the research, planning and evaluation that went into creating our Romance/Drama/Film Noir teaser trailer and its promotional package - a poster and a front page magazine cover. LOCATION SHOTS

We used Chilwell Arts Theatre for several different settings within our teaser trailer. the large space gave us the opportunity to do a wide spaced scene including long-shots, this was ideal for some of our party scenes. We also used the theatre to shoot some smaller, closed in shots where we only needed to use a close-up or mid-shots.

left: On a quiet road in Attenborough we used a tracking shot, of the femme fatale walking to her lover. This was an ideal setting because it was an old cut-off street, with old lampposts and houses running along one side, which directly links to film noir.
middle: Rosie and Pierce in the same scene working the camera.
Right: A royal-like gateway to a large house, picture and film taken in Switzerland, this is used to represent the character Raymond's house.

U.N.S.S.C (University of Nottingham social club) allowed us to film in there old Victorian house, including there bar.

For an office scene we used my summer house and old desk. this setting was particularly hard to create, having to cover up and cut out the modern surroundings.
